                            Tattoo Apprentice James Hall

                            Picture
James, local to Austin, grew up learning artistic values at an early age through artistic challenges presented to him by his father. In school James pursued these same paths of art and media spending most of his class time practicing some artistic outlet, eventually going from pencil and paper and expanding on to graphic design.

At an early age, James began to lend his attention to the art and culture of tattooing. As he got serious about art and really buckled down on teaching himself what he didn't receive through schooling or resources James started to pick up a developing eye for tattoos and tattoo influenced artwork and artists. He constantly rummaged through countless portfolio looking at some of his favorite artists and appreciating an art so beautiful yet outcast by so many. At age 18 James moved into downtown Austin on his own, obtaining a few personal accomplishments as well as following his love of tattooing. Prior to being welcomed into Shaman Modifications, James spent free time visiting local tattoo shops and actively attending conventions to further feed his interest and growing passion for tattooing.

At 19, James has an early start in his career having already had a graphic design and printing job and isn't slowing down with his pursuit of the tattoo culture with his apprenticeship under Justin Vickers here at Shaman Modifications.

Please stay posted for changes and updates in James' schedule here at Shaman as he continues to the learn the art and culture of tattooing.
