New Business Hours

Revised Minor Piercing Requirements

For minors wanting to receive a piercing, identification must be brought in by the client and the guardian that shows they are the legal guardian of the person getting the piercing.  A state or government issued license brought in by both guardian and client (a school ID is NOT acceptable for the minor) that is also accompanied by a birth certificate is appropriate documentation needed to do a piercing on a minor. If the client does not have all of the above, a parental consent form must be notarized and brought in.  You can download the parental consent form at the bottom of THIS PAGE.  For any further questions on what is acceptable, please do not hesitate to contact us. We apologize any inconvenience this may have brought to you, however these updated rules and regulations were made to improve the safety of your child and to also to protect us. Shaman Modifications is EXCITED to announce that we have moved to the Waterstreet Lofts on Cesar Chavez and Comal, just 5 blocks east of I-35. It is unfortunate to not have a parking lot any longer, however there is street parking just around the corner on Comal which makes it still very convenient. Thank you for your on going support and patronage. 

Not JUST Another Tattoo Shop in Austin!

Shaman Modifications was born on October 10, 2007.  It was previously Shaman Body Piercing and Modifications in Golden Apple Studio on Austin's infamous 6th Street; with tattooing being added onto the list of many services we offer, Shaman Modifications was conceived.  We moved as a family to our new home located in Central/South Austin just off the intersection of Cesar Chavez and Comal in the Waterstreet Lofts.

We not only have some of the most talented tattoo and piercing artists in Austin, TX, we also have some of the friendliest staff.  We are extremely knowledgeable of our craft, which we take pride in, and we are aware of the importance of return clientele and customer service.  Safety and Quality are a couple of important staples which Shaman was built on.

Tattoos and body piercings are just a couple of services we bring to Austin.  We also offer body modifications such as, large gauge insertion, scarification, branding, genital beading, surface piercings, micro-dermals (or dermal anchors), etc.  We offer a few other services as well if you have any questions come in and talk to one of knowledgeable staff members!
